Holy cow... is anyone out there? so i havent posted in 2 years.. whats the big deal?? Well... if you recall, we just moved, we were in the process of remodeling.. and we got pregnant.. WEll i had that baby.. Parker Kevin Clark... Named after our beloved friend Kevin Housley. And well we are still doing stuff to the house.. I have a 21 month old and a 3 1/2 year old... so i still dont have alot of time. And in there somewhere i work full time.. in and outside the home!! Summer is in full swing.. we have officially started our fun.. and Parker has started potty training.. i am ready to be out of diapers... So that is my fast and furious update.. i will try to post pics later... If anyone is still out there.. who knows maybe everyone thought i was radio silent.. dead air!! No just dont have the time!

Wow... So i have not been very good about keeping my Blog updated. I warned you in the beginning that i probably would not be. Where has the time gone.. well let me tell you. As you know we moved into our new house Dec. 13 and began renovations immediately. What we thought were going to be cosmetic changes has turned into a little more than we expected. Thank GOD my husband is handy and thank God his dad is a home builder!!! Tim is so talented and his talents have been put to the test. We basically had to redo the master bath.. But it looks great. We put up some really cool Egyptian tile.. OK Tim put it up!! We had most of the house painted with a Faux finish.. it looks COOL!!! I got to paint a RED room.. well a powder room.. Lorri H. would be so proud!! It has a black stain over it.. it is my favorite room in the house!!! We had to have the patio redone because the builder did not put some important flashing under the decking.. and it is upstairs.. that would have been a major problem if it had rained!! We put up shutters on the front of the house. We put in a new front door. Wow... can you say money pit!! 'tim and i jokenly call our house that .. As soon as we save up some more $ we will put up a fence and then our Dogs can come live with us!!! I miss my Lizzie girl and Duke!! And somewhere in all that I got pregnant!!! Where did we find the time and energy!! I am 18 1/2 weeks along. I will find out this week the sex... So we may have a name contest soon!!

Preston is growing like a weed. Can you believe he is 18 months old today!! Yes he will be 23 months when the new baby is here. I think i have no time now!!! He is talking up a store and getting the hang of Time out... He is a great baby!! God knew what i could handle and he is perfect!! He smiles all the time and he has my loud laugh!! I know i have 12 month pics i still have not posted.. I will post them today. I need to get some 18 month made. His 15 month were made at school.

That is another thing. P started school in January. Suga was not feeling well so we had to find different child care. P likes school. He is the oldest in his class. He is also the Class biter!! WEll. some things are just all boy. But he has not biten in a while and 4 times since january is not bad, Right? he is the social chair of the class. he tells everyone hello in the am and goodbye in the PM. He is at our employee daycare at my school district and he is on one the elementary campuses i serve so i get to see him frequently during the week. He loves to socialize and wave like a king in a parade when they go on walks. I think he is the cutest in his class!!

I am working a Chrysalis this summer so i have started my team meetings in san angelo. this is my last chrysalis. I think i will be a little busy for a while. Come september my life will drastically change.. again!!

I will try to do better in the future.. we are looking forward to summer and i am so ready for school to be out!!

well. i know i have not been very good about blogging. I have been a little busy. We bought a house, closed, and moved in a 7 days. I think that could be a record. WE moved into our new home Dec. 12, 2008. We have been doing some "remodeling" and "updating" since we moved in. The house is new.. we are the first to live in it. BUT i needes some upgrades here and there and some paint, which we have not chosen a color yet.. Our wall in the Kitchen looks like Mexico.. It has about 10 different colors on it and we still have not picked a color yet.. I just can't seem to find the right shade or beige, coffee, tan, cotton, etc..

Christmas break flew by. Preston and i had such a great time hanging out.. he is so much fun!! Christmas day i think was more fun for tim and I. Preston had fun tearing the wrapping paper but did not really get it. Next year will be a blast. I almost cried christmas morning when i deleted ALL the picture from my camera.. pictures taken from Halloween to Christmas eve!! i was heart broken... all because i was trying to set the timer on my camera to get a picture of us in our Christmas PJ"s. I am so excited to start new family traditions and carry on old ones. A new tradition we started was Christmas PJ on CHirstmas eve so that on Christmas Morning we are festive. Also, We read the Christmas story from Luke. And Santa left his presents for Preston, unwrapped. I found out that in New York, Santa always wrapped all of Tim's presents when he left them under the tree.... Santa did it texas style in our house!!

We went to my moms house out in West Texas. It was fun. WE got to see all my siblings except my oldest Brother Michael.. He was in Houston. We also got to see my grandmother. We had a good time. Preston likes playing with his cousins Stetson and Taylor. Taylor loves Preston and tries her hardest to dress him up like a doll. I allow some but hey i have a Son not a Sissy!! he he .. actually, tim steps in and calls it.. i think it is funny. I dressed my little brother up like a girl. I think it is a right of passage in any family..

New House

Yea.. we got a house!! it has been a crazy last few weeks. We had been working on getting a particular house since oct. 2.. it has been one thing after another.. The Lord may it very clear to us, after prayer, that that was not the house for us and led us to a different house last week. We made an offer and we close on Friday!! we are moving Saturday.. This is fast yes but it needed to be because Tim leased our barn (current home) and the new tenants move in on Monday!! so it was find a house or be homeless.. THank you Jesus for finding us a house!!! I will have pics up later..

We also finally got our family pics made and P's one year pics made. They are awesome.. My friend Wendy,who has Giggles and Grins photography took them.. i will post some of those later. But you should look at Wendy's blog.. She is so talented!!!

Happy Birthday Preston!!

Wow.. Where has the time gone!! My precious Little, P is one year old!! How bitter sweet it is. He is growing so much everyday and i look forward to all the new things he learns on a daily basis.. I wait for those "firsts" with such anticipation and yet at the same time i dread knowing that we get to them.. I dont want him to grow up too fast... For all the days i have said.. i cant wait until he can crawl, eat solid food, talk, etc.. now I want the days to slow down.. Dont grow so fast P, Mom is trying to cherish these moments...

P, you were such a blessing and answer to prayer. God has been good to me. He blessed me with you and you are perfect. You make me laugh, smile, and realize that Life is sweet even on bad days. I love our time together, the cuddles, the stories, the endless rocking, and our sweet talks with Jesus. My prayer for you is that you will grow to be a Godly man. That you will love the Lord with all that is within you. That you will know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. I cannot imagine my life without you. I am a better person because of you. I promise that i will try to be a good mommy, even on my bad days. Please know that I love you, no matter what!! I pray that God will help me be a good example for you. The time has flown by.. I keep telling you to stop growing but praise the Lord that you are!! Happy Birthday my sweet boy.. my sweet P!!

has it been almost a month...

Wow.. it has been almost a month since my last blog.. did you give up on me? I dont have any new pics i will post some later.. UPdates.. Well... Preston has two new teeth!! his top two front teeth just came in and he is getting a third one on top!! WOW.. he is growing up too fast. He is standing up and will stand on his own for a few seconds.. He is walking with assistance.. it wont be long and he will be off and running... He has been growing like a weed and eating anything you put in front of him.. He makes me laugh every day. I cannot believe he is almost 11 months old.. have i told you i have been stressing over his first birthday party since he was 9 months old? Crazy, i know...

We have been house hunting.. yes i think the days in the barn may be coming to an end.. Lord willing.. We have looked at so many.. wow there are lots of interesting places in the metroplex....

Today is my sister Samantha's 40th Birthday.. Happy Birthday Sam!!

I am finally getting around to our vacation. Tim, Preston and I along with our friends the Moore's took a 10 day family vacation. We went to Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole and Beaver Creek CO. Wow.. we drove about 3000 miles in addition to the roundtrip flight to Denver Co from DFW.. That is alot of ground in 10 days. We rented a suburban in Denver and drove a huge loop into S. Dakota, Wyoming, back into CO. there were 7 of us total.. I am so glad the Moore's love us.. especially the day Preston had 7, yes 7 poopie diapers during one of our 400 plus mile drive days!!! But we saw some of God's most majestic creations and had some really good memories made. At times i felt like vacation and the family truckster but good times were had by all. While in Yellowstone we saw a black bear, Moose, Elk, Grizzly bear, Old Faithful, and LOTS of Buffalo!! What amazing animals!! Then we treked into JAckson HOle Wyoming.. What a beautiful little town. We went on a covered wagon cookout, which included an indian invasion!!! We also went on the Alpine slide. YOu will have to look it up. It is at the Snow King resort. But it is this huge slide built into the side of the mountain. you have to take a chair lift up to the top of it. You ride these little sled things down it.. what a blast.. I so wanted to go really fast but i came upon this little girl that was going really slow so my thrill ride became a leisurly ride instead.. We did some shopping in Jackson but not much.. they are pretty proud of their stuff.. but when you have the most expensive real estate in the US then i guess you can be. Then we went on the BEaver creek.. Just as beautiful. We had good times there.. even if P rolled off the bed at the Condo!! HE was fine.. MOM wasn't but he was...

back to work

Well... my summer has officially come to an end.. I start back to work tomorrow. I really dont want to. I have enjoyed my 8 weeks as a full time mommy.. Preston has an excellent place to stay when i am at work and i dont worry about him at all.. i just miss him and i know i will really miss him tomorrow.. He has started doing so much. He is crawling all over the place; starting to pull up on things; and so proud when he can pull up and stand. He is starting to say some words and i know that everyday will be bring new accomplishments. It makes me sad to know that he will do those things and i wont be the "first" to see them. But Suga is so good about not saying anything and letting me see the "firsts" on my own. (Suga is Preston's babysitter/Ft. worth Grandma) He grows so fast. I have been reading a book called "i was a good mom until i had kids". It is really good. It is a book about being a mom and dealing with all the mom issues that women are too proud to really discuss. It talks alot about working moms that deal with the guilt of leaving their children and stay at home moms that deal with the guilt of not working or wanting to work and not. It is so good. It has helped me feel like i am not alone when i am so guilt ridden about leaving him and going to work or wanting to go workout and leave him for another hour when i have already left him all day at the sitter. I am still trying to find my balance between motherhood; working, and taking time for myself. I have talked to several of my mommy friends that i work with and they have all told me they have felt the same way and have given me ideas on how they take time for themselves. It is hard being a mom.. rewarding, and amazing.. but hard (regardless of if you work outside the home or not!!) Anyway... my goal is to find a good balance and take time for myself so i can be a better mom.. and to not feel so guilty doing it.

I know i havent posted any pics from out trip.. i will soon. Our trip was so much fun!! that is another post. No pictures with this one.. just some thoughts on going back to work.

we've been busy!!!

Wow.. time flies when you are busy!! So sorry it has been a few weeks since my last post. I told you i would not be punctual at this!! :) We have been so busy this summer.. good busy though. Preston had swimming lessons for two weeks (mon-thurs) June 23-July 3 at the local YMCA. Preston's Friend Addison also took swimming lessons and they were in the same class. That was so much fun... Preston misses Addie.. Preston also met a new friend.. Evan. He was so cute and such a little ham. He is a few months older than Preston but i think they could be good freinds. Preston had a blast. he loves the water.. and he even got used to going under... somewhat.. i just had a really hard time dunking my 8 month old under water.. it caused great anxiety to me!!! BUT i did it.. barely.. and he got used to it.. Now he still drank some water but he was learning to blow bubbles when it was said and done. Which could be the reason he has started his new thing.. making the bbbbbb sound with his lips and blowing spit everywhere!! he is so good at it and has so much fun.. i let him and just wipe his mouth from time to time... Yesterday he did it in church.. during a very quiet sermon.. at a critical point in it.. it was so funny. Our pastor told me after church he almost started laughing.. well i was laughing and needless to say dad had to take Preston out into the hall... oh well.. those are the moments life is made up of.. right?

We also had baby dedication at our church on June 28. It was a very special day for us. Of course i thank God every day for our wonderful gift and ask for guidance for the awesome responsibility he has given us as Preston's parents but it was so sweet to be surrounded by our church family, special friends, and family in sharing God's gift to us. Tim and i are so blessed to have such a wonderful son.

We have still been attending Story time at the Hulen Library. Preston has a good time.. he just like watching the other kids but it is good for him to hear stories and socialize. We have also been to the Ft. worth zoo. We have a membership so that makes it easy. Preston likes the zoo.. ok.. Mom likes the zoo but P doesn't mind it either!!

This week brings us to our first family vacation. WE are going to Yellowstone!!!! I am so excited and anxious. We are flying to Denver Co and renting a car and driving to S. Dakota to see the Black hills, mt. rushmore, then looping to wyoming to yellowstone, Jackson hole, and i am not sure what else. WE are going with our special friends the Moore's.. and God bless them they have planned this whole trip... Tim and i have been complete bums and we have just added our 2 cents here and there but they have been amazing at planning it.. and to tell you the truth i am not really sure what all the plans are!! We will be gone for 10 days!! it will be Preston's first plane ride!!! i have made a list of what to pack... my lord that child will have a bigger suitcase than tim or i!!! While we are gone.. Tim will turn 43 (July 20) and Preston will turn 9 months!! My boys are growing up!! :)

This is a first.. two post in two days.. this is a record!! WEll.. i guess i need to update on Preston. He is so big. He will be 8 months old very next week. Time has gone so fast. He is growing up.. he looks like a little boy now!! He is teething and we are expecting that tooth to come through any day now.. you can see it.. Come on tooth.. I am ready for it and i know he is.. HE is trying so hard to crawl.. he is scooting everywhere. He gets up on all fours and rocks then scoots his back legs up.. so CUTE!!! he is so observant.. trying to figure out how everything works.. He loves being outside, he loves being around people (like his mom).. he loves being out and about... he may even love the mall!! good for me!! As some of you know we have concrete floors. We have been putting down blankets for him to play on and scoot around on.. well, we broke down.. today we are getting carpet.. only in two rooms, our living room and his room.. but it will make mom feel better when he falls over.. at least he wont be hitting the concrete floor!! yes we still have the "barn" up for sale but until we sell it we will try to make it more baby proof. We went swimming this week.. Preston loves the water.. so much fun.. we start swim lessons next week. Preston and i went to story time on wed. at the library in Ft. worth. it was fun.. i think it will be our weekly outing for sure...of course all this stuff like story time, swim lessons, etc is more for mom than preston at this point, but hey you gotta do what ya gotta do!!

ok.. this will be short and sweet because it is late and i am tired.. I am trying to be good. I know i have not kept in touch nor have i been good about communicating Preston's accomplishments in a timely manner.. So i am going to blog about it more.. he he...I will try i really will.. so read the blogs.. look for new pictures.. and be patient.. sometimes i would just rather spend time with my child than clean my house and so i will be doing this after he goes to bed as well.. there will be days when i will be too tired or just dont think about it.. if i dont respond dont take it personally....

Well, i had a most unique experience this week.. I got to say goodbye to a dear friend... not the kind of "goodbye, see ya later" but the "goodbye.. see ya in heaven" type. I have never done that before.. how odd... to say goodbye to someone.. to get to tell someone that you love them, that you will miss, to tell them thank you for being your friend. to thank them for the impact they had on your life. Oh sure we do that at funerals.. but to say it to someone who is dying, looking you in the eye, not able to speak with his mouth but only with his eyes.. what an awesome experience. My dear friend Kevin housley went to live with Jesus this morning. He has been battling a brain tumor for almost two years. We prayed.. we lifted him up, but God called him home anyhow. How bittersweet. life with Jesus, but pain letting them go. We saw kevin on thursday. He got to meet preston.. on his deathbed, he was able to see my son... he was so excited that tim and i were going to have a baby.. he has been so sick the past 5 months.. that was his first and last time to see him, how precious it was. Kevin just kept staring at preston, then looking at me, then looking at tim.. Preston just talked away.. i know he could see the angels in Kevins room.. he and kevin kept looking at something in the room.. they were the only two that could see them... I will miss my friend terribly... but at last he is peacefull and healed... Praise the Lord....

A new experience.

WEll, this is my first blog..ever.. I guess you could say I am a virgin blogger. Actually, i just found some friends with a blog site so i needed to create one to talk to them. I am not into technology.. i just dont have the time.. My time is now devoted to my son so i am cutting into my bedtime to do this.. which my sleep is very important these days.

I will write more at a later time. for now this will have to do . My introduction and begining to "blogging". one day i will fill this out more, along with my Myspace account.. until then, just know that i spend every minute i can with my son. he is my most precious gift. he grows so fast, i dont want to miss a moment.. i dont take them for granted.
